Our Family Heritage

In 1965, Mary and Jack Wilson purchased the RY- Ranch with a vision: to build a legacy ranch that would be passed down through generations. That vision has continued to thrive under Tate and Bobbi Wells, who have expanded the ranch’s mission with a deep commitment to regenerative ranching and sustainable practices.

At RY- Family Ranches, we raise 100% grass-fed and finished as well as humanely finished grain fed cattle right here in the foothills of the Black Hills of South Dakota. Our cattle are raised with care, respect, and intention, never leaving the ranch, ensuring a truly local, transparent, and high-quality food source.
